Inside Sambisari Temple, Sleman Yogyakarta – If you climb the main temple entrance stairs, you will see a lion decoration, which is in the mouth gape of Makara (the magic animal in Hindu mythology). The Makara figure in Sambisari is the evolution form from original Makara in India. Makara image in India is the combination between elephant and fish or crocodile with crooked tail.
