Gampingan Temple Yogyakarta – Not the entire temple has the typical beautiful relief, because generally only decorated with statue and ordinary relief, which most of temple have. One of the temples that has the typical beautiful relief is Gampingan temple, a temple that found accidentally by a brick craftsmen at Gampingan village, Piyungan, Bantul, Yogjakarta, on 1995. Even this tample are having small size and not full anymore, Gampingan temple still rich with the beautiful relief.
One of the beautiful reliefs that can be found in this temple is animal relief, which is situated on the lower stage of temple. The animal relief in Gampingan temple is so natural, so, enable the visitor knows what kind of the animal that describes on temple. That rarely thing if temple has this kind of relief. The Prambanan temple and Mendut, which is know has the relief like that. The entire of relief are decorates with the root background that called Padmamula (root of lotus), which is believe as human life sources.
